A simpler weekly ritual
Your first mask, made simple
Three steps, one bowl, no vinegar. The ratio does most of the work.
Clay to water, by volume. About 1 tablespoon of clay makes one face mask.
Mix
Mix 1 part clay to 3 parts water until smooth. Let stand 2–3 minutes to thicken, then apply a light coat. Adjust with more clay or water to your preference.
Use a glass, ceramic, or wooden bowl and spoon, not metal.
Apply and wait
Spread a light coat over clean skin and leave it on for 5–10 minutes. It will begin to set. Don't wait for it to crack.
Rinse
Rinse clean before the mask fully dries, then moisturize. Once a week is plenty.
Patch-test on your inner arm before your first full use. For external use only.

What makes this different from other bentonite clay?
Two things you can check rather than take on faith: the grind and the paperwork. Mojave Pure is milled to 325 mesh, so it mixes into a smooth paste with water alone. It comes from a single named deposit in the Mojave Desert and is independently third-party mineral analyzed, with the results published.
How do I mix it?
Mix 1 part clay to 3 parts water until smooth. Let stand 2–3 minutes to thicken, then apply a light coat. Adjust with more clay or water to your preference. Use a glass, ceramic, or wooden bowl and spoon, not metal.
About 1 tablespoon of clay makes one face mask. If you're doing face and neck, use 2.
Do I need anything besides water?
No. Water is the whole recipe. A non-metal bowl and spoon help, but that's equipment, not an ingredient. You can skip the vinegar; finely milled clay doesn't need it to mix smooth.
How long should I leave it on?
5–10 minutes for a face mask. Rinse before it fully dries, not after. The mask working and the mask cracking are two different things, and you only want the first one.
How often should I use it?
Once a week for a face mask is plenty. Patch-test on your inner arm before your first full use, and moisturize after every mask.
Which size should I choose?
40 oz: For scalp and body too, or if you already know you like clay.
